THE XERPENSTORY…

XERPENTOR was founded back in May 1998 by bassplayer/vocalist Leon van Midden as the five-piece thrash/death metal band SerpentoR. Nowadays Leon is the only member left from the original line-up.

The coming of Ex-Eternal Solstice guitarist Philip "PHILTY" Nugteren in February 2001 ushers in the end of the thrash/death period. This was the reason for the leadsinger and leadguitarist to leave the band. Before the style, line-up and bandname would be changed, it was clear that it should not happen unnoticed. The product of that thought was the mini-cd "Incarnation of Evil".
Containing an affective mixture of old school death metal and the last thrash influences. This mini-cd recieved extremely good reviews in the dutch metalmagazine Aardschok, several underground magazines and local radioshows.

Leaving XerpentoR as a trio, they start writing a whole new set of songs influenced by bands as Bolt Thrower, Deicide , Massacre and Malevolent Creation. This means raw riff power and killer grunt/scream vocals.

At the end of 2004, during the recording of the debut album, the drummer left the band. In 2006 the track "Compulsion to Kill" was finished at A.M. Studios when XerpentoR was asked by Fearsome Records to donate a song for their "Blown to pieces 4" compilation album. After a long period of auditions for a new drummer XerpentoR did one gig in 2008. Unfortunately it doesn't work out (in both ways).

Short after that, in July 2008, drummer Bram van Midden came along and the death metal spark was there again. With his energetic drumming he drives XerpentoR back to the level where they belong. Now XerpentoR is writing new material and more then ready to perform live. The first gig with Bram was brutal. Really tastes for more....
